Tabletop Titans has launched a new crowdfunding campaign. Its latest project, Wyldwood, is a fast-paced miniatures skirmish game featuring highly detailed display scale miniatures set in an original stone age fantasy setting.
The Wyldwood Kickstarter Campaign
According to the Kickstarter campaign page, Wyldwood is a grid-based competitive game designed for 2-4 players. Each player commands a warband of five Champions drawn from one of five Factions: Dwaves, Wood Elves, Humans, Undead Tree Spirits, and Orks, and a deck of 30 cards containing special actions and attacks. The first warband to reach ten points after six turns is declared the winner.
Each playable Champion in Wyldwood is represented by a 60mm display scale miniature, making each one an eye-catching centerpiece for one's personal collection. Complimenting these detailed miniatures is deep deck customization. Each Faction in the game has their unique spread of cards with their own strategies and combinations.
The world of Wyldwood takes place in a time long before maps, civilizations, and monuments formed by humanity. The world is encompassed by the titular Wyldwood, a verdant primordial forest full of untold creatures and tales told around small glittering fires.
To get started with Wyldwood, you will need two different boxes: The Faction Starter Set and the Faction Model Set. The Starter Set contains the game's complete rules, cards, Champion cards, tokens, a paper play mat, and terrain. The Faction Model Set contains a set of 5-7 miniatures in premium Unicool hard plastic. If you prefer to 3D print your own miniatures, the campaign includes a pack with STL file support.
The pledge tiers for Wyldwood are few but substantive. For $220 you receive your choice of a Faction Starter Set and Faction Model Set. For $375, you gain both and all add-ons for the campaign, which include a neoprene playmat, a premium sourcebook, and premium terrain. For $90, you get STL Files and a Faction Starter Set. Just the models of a single faction will cost you $185. $420 gets you a two-player starter pack. Lastly, if you want everything, it will set you back $1200.
At the time of writing, the Wyldwood campaign has raised $77,689, a little over half its initial funding goal of $150,000. The campaign concludes on October 15.
