Final Fantasy VII: Revelations Launches April 2027

The hype for Final Fantasy VII: Revelation has been through the roof since the game was announced during Summer Game Fest 2026. The final installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake Series Trilogy was said to be launching in spring of 2027, but no exact date was given at the time. Now, Square Enix has revealed that April 8, 2027 is the day in question. What’s more, the company has also outlined all the different ways you can purchase Revelation, alongside a few other goodies. Let’s check out the release date trailer, first:

The deep dive trailer really gets into the nitty gritty of Revelations. Recall that the Highwind, AVALANCHE’s tryst airship, is finally usable for the first time in the Remake Series, and it will allow players to roam an enormous overworld populated with friends, foes, and of course, the mighty WEAPONS. There’s a new Chobobo named Piko who not only helps players traverse the game world, but will also level up alongside the characters. Combat has been refined yet again, now with the introduction of specialized roles like Warrior, Knight, Black Mage, and Summoner. If there’s any fly in the ointment at this point, it’s that Revelation will be a dreaded Game Key Card when it releases.
