Playkot, known for Protectors: Shooters Legends, and more, has announced that its long-running fantasy squad-based RPG, Age of Magic, has surpassed $120 million in revenue and almost reached 20 million installs worldwide. The game continues to grow with regular updates and new progression features across Android and iOS, eight years after its original launch.
Age of Magic continues to grow with new content and progression
If you’re unaware, Age of Magic first launched on September 19, 2018, and has become one of Playkot’s major live-service games, taking you into a dark fantasy world filled with powerful heroes, ancient ruins, magical artifacts, and rival factions battling for control of a shattered realm.
The team has continued to expand the experience over the years with new characters, events, seasonal content, and story developments. That said, the game also marked its anniversary earlier this year with special in-game activities and new mini-games, giving you more ways to interact with the world beyond its usual squad-based gameplay.
In late June itself, the team introduced another major addition with an expanded hero development system, opening up new progression goals, improvements to popular modes, and more ways for experienced players to enhance and customize their teams.
Rather than following a single main protagonist, Age of Magic has built its identity around an ever-growing cast of heroes and factions, while its story evolves alongside the live-service content.
